Old Fashioned Church Picnic

A few nights ago we went with D's parents to a yearly church picnic that's been taking place since D was little. It was something like out of a movie complete with $.75 ice cream cones and free wagon rides. I wish I'd gotten more pictures but my card was full and could only hold a few. B LOVED the music and was pretty well dancing the whole time it was playing!

Aunt Sam

My sister came to MO for a nice visit/vacation with us for 12 days and we LOVED having her here with us! We did a lot like shopping and going to the creek, but also had down-time and good old sister bonding! Love you Sam!

4th of July in MO

We had most of the family together for 4th of July in MO this year. My sister Samantha was also able to be here and is spending 10 days total with us. We packed a lot into a short time, and though we were worn out by the time it was over, a good time was had by all!

Enjoy the pics below!

College Station Family Trip

We had such a good time with our family in College Station. We spent time hanging out, playing games, BBQ'ing at the lake, and bowling. It felt so short but many good memories were made!

From Texas to Missouri

We took two days to move the trailer to Missouri. Which originally seemed like a good idea. But then it turned into two of the longest days ever and we were wishing we'd just done it in one. We got off later on Wednesday than we'd wanted and didn't get to our stop for the night till about 7 pm. Thankfully we had very friendly neighbors who helped D back right in on the first try and helped D get unhitched while I threw some dinner together. It was a beautiful spot and we would have loved to stay longer. We got up Thursday morning and were within 5 minutes of pulling out, when the door to the trailer jammed. Leaving D and I outside and B inside (with the AC still on) This began the longest 90 minutes of B locked in the trailer while we waited for the locksmith to arrive. Evidently we had a bad lock and it malfunctioned by locking itself. Even the locksmith was unable to pick it. I finally told him to just drill the thing out. We've learned that should this happen again, we'll drill it out ourselves and just get another $30 lock. Lesson learned. All this cost us about 2 1/2 hrs, which meant we had to stop  at a reststop and wait for a major storm to pass. Which cost us another 45 min. Finally arrived to D's parents place and after 30 min and 3 tries, finally got the trailer up the drive with only a bent jack foot. It is now in it's spot for at least a month and we can recover from the 2 longest days ever. Enjoy the pictures!
Ready to go
Thankful this is the only "damage" from 1.5 hrs locked in the trailer.

My little Sweettart
Our small group from church threw a "Farewell Reception" for us before we left. It was beautiful and we so enjoyed the chance to visit with our dear friends. They gave us a picture of a country road and a poem and then signed by all. It will have a prime spot on our living room wall! We love and miss you guys!
