Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you may go. Joshua 1:9

Slow.day.

We've had a slow day. Getting over jet lag is proving difficult for a certain little one who thinks 3 am is the perfect time to wake up. We "assisted from the couch" the decking of the halls this afternoon. Brain fog from exhaustion is no laughing matter! It's beginning to feel a lot like christmas with the decor, music, and Uncle Davids hot chocolate, even if it is 78 degrees outside.
The mountain in the pic is seen from our driveway and the bamboo/foliage is the view out our bedroom window.
Enjoy!

We made it!

Thanks to prayers, we made it to Thailand and had a smoother trip than we could have asked for! Bee did awesome and only had some issues with her ears on the last 15 min of our final flight into Chiang Mai. I can't believe how well she did for barely sleeping the whole trip! On our long trip from Houston to Tokyo, we each had our own touch screen tv with a huge selection of movies and tv shows to choose from. Bee watched Horton Hears a Who 20 times over and could be heard giggling at various intervals. I was thankful that the only thing I had to remind her of was to not laugh too loud while others were sleeping around us. :-) At our layovers we discovered escalators (the moving walkways) to be our best friend. Bee called them "exercisers" and had the best time running along them over and over.

My aunt picked us up from the airport and we went to the market for our first meal of "moo ping" (grilled pork) and sticky rice. Bee also found some mini oranges which she's been devouring. After a nap we enjoyed a delicious homemade meal of rice with cashew chicken and pork. Once it was dark enough we went outside for a walk and lit some lanterns to celebrate arriving in Thailand! A very fitting end to a great first day!
The pictures below are mostly of our first day here and some from transit.
Enjoy!

Here we go!

We are sitting in Houston right now, resting up for our flight to Tokyo in the morning. Bee did very well on our quick flight to Houston and I expect she'll handle the next 30 hours better than I will. :-)

So we've been spending a lot of time with our family. We are going to miss them but I know they're excited for us in this adventure. Here are some pictures to enjoy!

RV Tour: Kitchen

Here is our eat-in kitchen. There are things I'm still working on like removing that ugly wall border. Still looking for the right curtains, and will paint eventually. But I'm happy with it for now.
And yes, I have a microwave on the table because my convection oven is needing repair.
You'll notice there are several pictures of the 'same thing', this is the case because there really are only 2 sides to this kitchen; the eating side, and preparing side. Mhhhmmm, that's it. But it's big enough for us and really all we need...and I bet I don't spend half the time cleaning it up than you do yours! =p
Enjoy!

RV tour: Bedroom

After 5 months in our Cedar Creek I'm finally getting around to showing you the inside! Eventually I'll paint the walls and cabinets/trim. But until then, here's our bedroom setup!
