Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you may go. Joshua 1:9

Trying new things and a plan

We went country dancing!! D had never acted interested in taking lessons or trying to dance, but after an impromptu dance lesson with family (and being told he had a natural step for it), we took the jump and went to a free lesson. It was wonderful. And I think we found something new to do on date nights!

In other news....we are moving into an apartment in 3 weeks! We put a deposit down yesterday on a 2 bedroom, 1 bath 876 sq ft apartment. We can't wait!! Less space, less stuff, fewer expenses, fewer responsibilities means the ability to save money and have time to do more (dancing).:-) We'll have a 4 month lease which should give us plenty of time to get things squared away at the office and with D's work. So this would put our "travel leave" date around the first of April.

Making it Simple

"We're selling EVERYTHING". That was my response when people asked what we were doing with all our stuff. Just take it all. And the more you take the less I have to mess with. People have mentioned how hard it must be to be selling or giving away all our things we've collected over the last few years. And honestly, it's been wonderful! I felt like every little thing was a weight on my shoulders. Something to clean, something to dust, something to wash, something to fold, something to store somewhere. I was/am so OVER stuff. It was so overwhelming and I felt like all I ever did was clean up after "stuff". So now, I sit here, looking at a mantle that used to have 20 pictures on it and now has 1. There is now less to get out which means less to clean up. And with the "less stuff" I now have freedom. Freedom to spend more time doing the things I really want to do. It's blissfully wonderful. Try it! I think you'll see what I mean.
